Pickup and disposal of your (real) Christmas tree.

  • Environmentally friendly disposal, trees are used for biomass energy.
  • Supports Farsley community volunteer events such as Farsley Festival.
  • 5pm Friday 2nd – 5pm Saturday 3rd January 2026.

Due to our logistics, we only have capacity to pick up from Farsley and neighbouring area (i.e. LS28 and LS13 postcodes).  Please only order for collection within LS28 and LS13 to avoid cancellation. Please let us know if your tree is large so we can make sure allocate a vehicle to suit.

Please consider including an optional donation particularly if our volunteers are collecting a large tree.

Trees MUST be available for collection by 5pm on Friday 2nd January 2026.

Description

LS28 AND LS13 POSTCODES ONLY

Volunteer teams from Farsley Festival will collect and dispose of used (real) Christmas Trees.  They are shredded and converted to biomass energy.

This not only ensures environmental reuse but reduces traffic around the council waste sites, improving the waiting times for other users during an otherwise very busy period.

Achieved by the hard work of volunteers and all profits go to the Farsley Festival project.

We will collect your Christmas Tree between 5pm Friday 2nd and 5pm Saturday 3rd January 2026 – it is essential trees are available for collection by this time.  If the tree may be located in a communal area, please attach a Farsley Festival note as trees for other collection services may be present and we have limited ability for pickup.  It is possible that some tree pickups will overflow to Sunday, depending upon progress.
